STEPPE WATERFALL
Steppe waterfall
Sharga soum of Gobi-Altai aimag is located 89 kilometers west of the provincial center and lies on the southernmost plain of the Great Lakes Depression. A river flows through this steppe region, creating a beautiful natural scene as it cascades through a gorge over 20 meters high.
In recent years, this area has been included in popular travel routes for residents of Gobi-Altai aimag.
Interestingly, locals say that the number of visitors to the waterfall sharply increased after it was featured in the film “The Treasure Left in the Palm” by Khuwsul Production, which filmed scenes at the waterfall.
