valley of the\u00a0<a title=\"Chuluut River\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chuluut_River\">Chuluut River<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"Suman River\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Suman_River\">Suman River<\/a>\u00a0in the Tarvagatai Range of the Khangai Mountains. Lake Terkhiin Tsagaain is a freshwater,\u00a0<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Oligotrophic\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Oligotrophic\">oligotrophic<\/a>\u00a0lake in a volcanically-formed valley. The terrain immediately around the lake is hills with steppe and forest steppe vegetation. The lake is about 15\u00a0km long. It has a maximum depth of 20 meters, with 40% being less than 2 meters
