Located just about 10 kilometers from the center of Selenge province, near the Mongolian-Russian border, this area is renowned for its natural beauty. Previously known as the Temeen Khuzuutin Khotol, the place was renamed Saykhan Khotal after General D. Sukhbaatar famously exclaimed, &#8220;This is truly a beautiful khotal.\/valley\/&#8221;<\/p><p>One of the natural wonders of Saykhan Khotal is the confluence of the Orkhon and Selenge rivers. These two rivers meet here and continue flowing, eventually draining into Lake Baikal.
