GORKHI-TERELJ NATIONAL PARK
Terelj National Park is one of the most picturesque places in Mongolia. The Terelj National Park is located about two hours East of the capital. It is the third-largest protected area (2,864 square kilometers) in Mongolia and home to many. The countryside is covered by undulating hills and rock formations. Nestled in the valleys you can find several small temples, the aptly-named turtle rock, and even some dinosaurs. There are over 250 species of bird and numerous species of mammals. The national park is also home to many ger camps and nomadic families.

MO-1014 Evening departure: Mongolian local departure and arrival tour, Terelj National Park, Ger 1 night 2 days tour
DAY 1
Afternoon: Take an exclusive car to Terelj National Park. Upon arrival at the ger camp, enjoy a delicious Mongolian cuisine dinner. In the evening, relax and stargaze under the clear sky, filled with beautiful stars (weather permitting). Accommodation: Overnight at the “Ger Camp.”
DAY 2
Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the ger camp and take time to relax. Then, take a horseback riding lesson with a nomadic instructor and begin your horse trekking journey from the tourist camp. A guide and nomads will accompany you. Visit a nomadic ger, interact with locals, and enjoy a traditional Mongolian lunch. After lunch, explore Terelj National Park, including Aryabal Temple and Turtle Rock. At 4:00 PM, return to Ulaanbaatar, stopping to visit a Kazakh ger on the way. Kazakh people from Bayan-Ulgii province are known for hunting with golden eagles. The tour ends upon arrival at your hotel in Ulaanbaatar.

DAY 1
Depart from your hotel in Ulaanbaatar and head to a tourist camp located on the city’s outskirts. Upon arrival, meet your nomadic instructor and receive a basic horseback riding lesson. Once you’re comfortable, enjoy a guided horseback ride through the scenic surroundings. After the ride, drive back toward the city. On the way, visit a traditional nomadic ger and engage with local people to learn about their way of life. Return to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar, where the tour concludes. Note: Riding chaps and helmets will be provided free of charge.

At 9:00 AM, transfer from your hotel in Ulaanbaatar to a ger camp on the city outskirts. Upon arrival, meet your horse and take a riding lesson from a nomadic instructor. Then, begin horse trekking with a guide and nomad, enjoying unlimited riding across the grasslands. Lunch will be a picnic on the steppe. In the afternoon, visit a nomadic family’s ger to interact with locals and experience their lifestyle. Enjoy a traditional Mongolian dinner prepared by the family. In the evening, relax and stargaze (weather permitting). Overnight stay at the ger camp.
DAY 2

DAY 1
In the afternoon, we will arrange your airport transfer. Then, travel by private car to Terelj National Park. Upon arrival at the ger camp, enjoy a delicious traditional Mongolian dinner. In the evening, relax under the stars and take in the beauty of the night sky.

DAY 2

In the afternoon, explore Terelj National Park, including Aryabal Temple and Turtle Rock. At 4:00 PM, return to Ulaanbaatar, stopping en route to visit a Kazakh ger. Kazakh people, known for hunting with golden eagles, are originally from Bayan-Ulgii province in western Mongolia.

Return to Ulaanbaatar around 4:00 PM.
