DIGITAL MUSEUM

Mongolia’s first digital museum is located in Erdenet City, established in 2020 with the aim of preserving and showcasing the historical development of Erdenet Mining Corporation. The museum features six exhibition halls:

  2. Digital Information
  3. Historical Journey
  4. Production and Technological Innovation
  5. Erdenet Mining Corporation’s Social Responsibility
  6. Our Pride

These halls collectively display the corporation’s 40-year legacy, including tangible and intangible cultural heritage, over 200 video programs, more than 1,000 exhibits, and 160 published works.

Additionally, the museum showcases personal items and rare historical artifacts from Erdenet City’s pioneers, such as tools discovered near the Erdenet mountains in 1952. Copies of these items, including a bronze cauldron and digging tools, have been displayed with permission from the Bulgan Province Museum.

Visitors can immerse themselves in a virtual experience that simulates being near the open-pit mine, inside a BelAZ excavator, or within the production facilities. A highlight is the open-pit mine blasting simulation, experienced through a 270-degree screen and a vibrating floor that replicates the feel of a real explosion, offering an unparalleled interactive journey.
